Each year
Island Dolphin Care rely's on philanthropic
support in order to continue our scholarships programs, as
well as our Dolphin Talks and Dolphin Camps. In addition IDC
must also
fund the new Center.

Scholarships
• It is our annual goal to provide 50 scholarships for
the Dolphin Time-Out program, which is a full 5-day therapy program
costing $2,700 including housing for the child and their family.
• With
a $1,000 we are able to bring a group of children with special
needs to the Center for a Dolphin-Talk that shares
the fun and hopefulness of the world of the dolphins. A great
day that motivates, enlivens the spirit and educates the children.
• Our
newly expanded Marine Science Education Program brings the mystery
and the wisdom of the seas to typically developing
children as well as children with special needs. You can sponsor
a class to take part in this program for between $8- $13/student. For the IDC Center
• We need $ 5,000 to cover the cost
of the closed circuit television system and other learning
tools for teaching parents
new techniques for working with their children.
• $20,000
will cover the costs of final elements of the outdoor spaces
of the building including the Family Porch. Building
Gifts of $1,000 are acknowledged in the Center.
• Fully funding
the new Center: The total cost of the project was close to
$3 million and we are now down to needing $1 million
to pay down all mortgages. We are seeking a lead donor of $1
million to have their name on the new facility
